Worms 3D

Nucleus Everything imported from Nucleus CMS

Starting playing this great Team 17 game again today. Copied my old saved scores across computers and jumped back in right were I was – now 88% is unlocked!

As Worms is one of my all time favourite PC games ever, I was delighted to see there’s a new version in development. Worms: Forts Under Siege is released on the 19th November. Yah hoo!

Greetings!

This is my first post using a completely new contact management system – the very cool Nucleus replacing Blogger. Myriads more options are suddenly available, so watch out for some more improvements to the blog coming very soon.

All my old posts have been painstakingly re-inserted, complete with the original timestamps and comments. That was one hell of a copy and paste job!

My websites now validates to XHTML 1.0 apart from this blog. Honest, it’s very close to validating but there are just some annoying bugs that are near impossible to fix without ripping up the Blogger innards.

Will has asked me to mention that the London number 12 buses are being replaced. This means nothing to me, so I refuse to put it in my blog. Whoops…

After watching yesterday night’s taped Have I Got News For You I wanted to find the American equivalent in laugh out loud political satire. And I’ve found it. The Daily Show with Jon Stewart on Comedy Central is utterly brilliant and, best of all, you can watch loads of clips from each show online for free. Take note BBC, you need to get him to appear on HIGNFY sometime!

Good things: Bonfires, burning George W Bush on the fire, parties, hot dogs

Bad things: Fireworks, The Simpsons on Channel 4*

*I mean honestly. You can’t fool us, there are adverts now! Adverts are bad! DVDs are advert free, and you get the best episodes of The Simpsons anyway around seasons 4 and 5.

I liked the BBC News headline today: US vote ‘mostly free and fair’

Blogger is finally back online so now I can try and shove Bush out of my mind to briefly mention Firefox.

I have Firefox installed and up to date on my PC. I love tabbed browsing, I like the CSS handling and some of the features are better laid out than IE. However, for the majority of my time I am sticking to Internet Explorer. SP2 is a huge reason for this, I think the Information Bar is a wonderful tool and it helps me daily. Yeah Firefox has a clone, but it’s not nearly as well designed.

I am delighted that Firefox is gaining ground – I want that trend to continue so that Microsoft finally decide to update IE. I want a huge update, I want IE 7.0 to be XP compatible (at least!) and, like everyone, I’ve got a very long wish list of features. C’mon guys, make the best browser you can filled with new and *innovative* new features in the same vein as Firefox’s brilliant ‘Live Bookmarks’. Proper PNG compatibility wouldn’t go astray either, if only to view Nic’s new blog with properly!
